Honor appears to be preparing another addition to its Magic8 lineup, with a new report from China suggesting that the Magic8 Mini is still on track for launch. The device has been rumored for several months, following the debut of the Magic8 Pro in China and parts of Asia.
According to the latest leak, the Magic8 Mini will be offered in four color options: Feather White, Shadow Black, Light Orange, and Fairy Purple, based on machine-translated details.
The device is reportedly codenamed “Lindy” and is positioned as a more compact alternative within the Magic8 series.
The Magic8 Mini is said to feature a 6.3-inch touchscreen and a metal frame. It is also expected to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, aligning it with higher-end biometric hardware.
The phone is rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, marking a shift from Qualcomm silicon used in some other Magic8 models.
Previously leaked specifications suggest the Magic8 Mini will feature a 200MP main camera. It is also expected to include a 50MP telephoto camera with a 1/1.5-inch type sensor.
The device is said to pack a 5,500mAh battery while maintaining a thickness of under 7mm, which would make it relatively slim for its capacity.
The display is rumored to offer a “1.5K” resolution, though exact pixel dimensions have not been disclosed.
Honor has not officially confirmed the Magic8 Mini or shared a launch date. With the Magic8 Pro already rolling out to more markets, further details about the Mini variant are expected to surface in the coming weeks.
