OnePlus Pushes First Software Updates for 15R and Pad Go 2

OnePlus has begun rolling out the first software updates for its newly launched OnePlus 15R smartphone and OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet, just a day after their official unveiling. Buyers will receive these updates as soon as they set up their devices.

OnePlus 15R Receives First Update

The first software update for the OnePlus 15R is initially rolling out in India under build number CPH2767_16.0.1.305(EX01). OnePlus said the update will reach other regions soon and is being released in stages.

The update focuses on system refinements and performance improvements. It improves overall system stability and responsiveness while reducing power consumption in certain scenarios. OnePlus has also optimized Gaussian blur effects used during app opening and closing animations.

Camera performance and stability have been improved, along with better reliability for wireless connections and expanded compatibility. The update also enhances stability when sharing content with iPhones and improves overall network performance.

OnePlus Pad Go 2 Update Rolls Out Globally

The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is receiving its first update globally under build number 16.0.2.402(EX01). This update introduces several new features and refinements across system tools, photos, and media editing.

Users can now launch storage cleanup tools directly from the Smart Sidebar. OnePlus has also improved how AI summaries and subtitles end automatically when there is no sound input for a certain period.

The Photos app gains new capabilities, including automatic straightening when cropping and rotating portrait and architectural photos, improved thumbnail parsing, and better partial screenshot processing. Filtering images and videos in the Photos app has also been simplified.

Media Editing and Security Updates

The update adds expanded video editing tools, including support for cutting, splitting, stitching multiple clips, adding music and text, adjusting playback speed, and cropping videos.

OnePlus has also made it possible to edit images and videos directly inside Private Safe without unlocking them first.

In addition to feature updates, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 update includes the December 2025 Android security patch, bringing the tablet up to date with the latest security fixes.
