Punjab Traffic Police has issued a public advisory stating that electronic driving licenses (e-licenses) are valid and must be accepted by traffic police officials.
According to the advisory, citizens who face refusal by any traffic police officer to accept an e-license should immediately register a complaint. The department has directed the public to report such incidents without delay so that action can be taken against the concerned official.
The advisory provides official contact channels for complaints. Citizens can lodge complaints by calling 1787 or by contacting 0318-4642936 via WhatsApp. Punjab Traffic Police said the e-license facility forms part of its digital services and is legally recognized.
The department urged citizens to use the provided complaint mechanism in case of any violation.
