Samsung announced the One UI 8.5 beta program earlier this month and initially released the first beta build in limited countries. The company has now expanded the rollout, making the update available in India and Poland, while other regions are receiving a new build identified as ZYLH.
The second One UI 8.5 beta focuses on system stability and bug fixes across core features. Samsung has modified Camera Assistant settings to enable dual recording and Single Take mode. The update also improves issues related to Quick Panel initialization during boot, as well as errors affecting icon spacing and placement in the Quick Panel menu.
Gallery behavior has been adjusted to fix a problem where photos organized into group folders were being moved to the first album page. Call-related performance has also been addressed, including reduced stuttering when opening the More View menu during calls, fixes for intermittent rebooting, and cases where the volume up button failed under certain conditions.
Samsung has further improved sound issues that occurred during calls when using Bluetooth car kits in specific scenarios. The update also resolves forced app closures when running multiple third-party apps at the same time and includes broader software stabilization through updates to apps such as the camera.
The second beta build is sized at 1.12GB and includes the December 2025 security patch level.
Samsung is expected to launch One UI 8.5 officially with the Galaxy S26 series early next year. The update is expected to roll out to older Galaxy devices afterward, with additional beta releases likely before the stable version becomes available.
