Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (PSX: DFML) has appointed Ghazanfar Baber Siddiqi as Chairman Board of Directors and Waseem ul Haque Ansari as Chief Executive Officer, effective December 26, 2025.
The listed auto assembler disclosed the development in a notice to the main bourse on Friday.
Waseem ul Haque Ansari is a graduate mechanical engineer from NED University with over 28 years of experience in the automobile industry. He has been serving as Chief Operating Officer at Dewan Farooque Motors Limited.
In his current role, Ansari has been responsible for overseeing vehicle assembly operations for the KIA and Hyundai brands under technical license agreements.
Meanwhile, newly appointed Chairman Ghazanfar Baber Siddiqi holds a Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Karachi and an MBA in Marketing from The International University, Independence, Missouri, USA.
Siddiqi’s academic background enabled him to work across a wide range of industries, including paints, chemicals, fibre, food commodities and petrochemicals.
He brings around 25 years of professional experience in strategy formulation and company management, including 14 years spent managing multiple product lines at ICI Pakistan Limited.
Dewan Farooque Motors Limited was incorporated in Pakistan in 1998 as a public limited company and is engaged in the assembly, progressive manufacturing and sale of vehicles in the local market.
DFML’s scrip at the bourse closed at Rs. 22.65, up 1.12 percent or Rs. 0.25 on Friday.
