The Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, inaugurated a road construction project in Bahawalpur with an approved cost of Rs. 741.32 million.
Speaking at the ceremony, he said the project falls under the “Restore Roads, Prosper Punjab” program, launched in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He stated that the initiative aims to improve road infrastructure in both urban and rural areas of the province.
Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar said the road is being constructed under the SAP-VII program in collaboration with the Punjab Highway Department and the district administration of Bahawalpur.
He added that the project will provide improved travel facilities for residents of the area. The deputy speaker said road construction and expansion projects have formally started across Punjab and are part of the government’s ongoing development efforts.
