PIA Announces Direct Flights Between Islamabad and London After 6-Year Gap

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of direct flights from Islamabad to London, expanding its UK operations after resuming flights to Manchester.

In a statement, a PIA spokesperson said the national carrier will operate four weekly flights from Islamabad to London. The flights will operate from Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, one of the airport’s most modern terminals.

According to the spokesperson, PIA’s first Islamabad–London flight will depart on March 29, marking the airline’s return to the London route after a six-year suspension.

The spokesperson described London as PIA’s first international destination and one of its most important and attractive routes.

The airline currently operates three weekly flights to Manchester. It is worth noting that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif inaugurated Islamabad–Manchester flights in October 2025, after which the first PIA flight successfully reached Manchester.

PIA said the resumption of London flights aims to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling between Pakistan and the United Kingdom and strengthen the airline’s international network.
