Daughter of Former PAF Chief Dies in Traffic Accident in US

Dr Faiqa Noor Khan, daughter of former Pakistan Air Force chief Air Marshal Noor Khan, has died in a traffic accident in the United States, according to reports.

US media said the incident occurred over the weekend in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, where a local paediatrician was killed in a car crash. The victim was identified as 75-year-old Faiqa Aftab Qureshi.

According to the Virginia State Police, Dr Qureshi’s car collided with an object on the road, caught fire, and she died on the spot.

Dr Faiqa Qureshi joined the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in 1993 as a physician and later served for many years as the medical director of the emergency department.

The hospital said her dedication to children and families, as well as her role in mentoring future doctors, left a lasting impact.

Meanwhile, King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore, also expressed grief over her death in a statement on social media.

The university said Dr Faiqa, daughter of former Air Marshal Noor Khan, was an outstanding student of KEMU who graduated in 1973 and later served the institution as a faculty member.
