Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday for the first time this year, in line with the increase in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs. 5,700, reaching Rs. 460,262, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 4,887 to Rs. 394,600.
A day earlier, on Thursday, gold prices had declined, with the per tola rate dropping by Rs. 2,400 to Rs. 454,562.
Internationally, gold prices climbed by $57, reaching $4,379 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market also hit a new all-time high, increasing by Rs. 227 to Rs. 7,862 per tola.
