Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started preparations for Ramazan by issuing tenders to procure dates and juice packs for iftar services on its domestic and international flights.
According to the tender details, PIA will purchase 130,000 packets of dates, each weighing between 30 and 35 grams, to be served to passengers during the holy month.
In addition, the airline has floated a separate tender for 200ml juice packs, with millions of units expected to be procured for Ramazan operations.
PIA has directed interested suppliers to submit their bids to the airline’s Supply Chain Department by January 14.
The move is part of PIA’s routine arrangements to facilitate passengers observing fasts during Ramazan.
