Internet is Still Down in Pakistan After Over 48 Hours

It has been over 48 hours since internet services degraded across Pakistan and nothing has changed so far, as per user reports across the country.

Nayatel’s official X account said internet services are down due to a fault in one of two upstream providers. All parties involved are working closely for early restoration. Nayatel is the first internet service provider to actually confirm internet degradation today.

The tweet confirms that users of Nayatel around Pakistan are still facing the same upload speed issues that started over 2 days ago. Since Nayatel gets it fiber backbone from Transworld, which is the main backbone provider for many internet services in Pakistan, many others are affected as well.

  • “Ye situation really frustrating hai 😞. 48 ghante se zyada internet down rehna kaafi inconvenience create kar raha hai, especially students aur remote workers ke liye. Hope ke ISPs jaldi se jaldi solution announce karen.” https://ith.edu.pk/

  • The Internet speed of Pakistan as been slowed down to 27 mbs,: whereas the Internet speed is 60 mbs in India. Pakistan’s Internet speed is not even half of India. Singapore has the maximum Internet speed of 406 mbs;

  • Funny how no accountability from the call center minister

    She should resign but she can’t. The firewall

  • What is a call center minister!! You meant IT minister?!? Well.. she’s doing just great! They’re about to launch 5G spectrum! 600MHz frequency! New Gateways! They’re doing a lot im sure! She can’t go jump into the sea and start repairing the supposedly down underwater cable! And i think only the small networks like nayatel n all maybe down! State run ptcl is working as usual!
