Authorities have halted the K-IV Augmentation project work on University Road in Karachi due to objections raised by the World Bank and changes in the project route, sources from the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Program (KWSSIP) said.
According to sources, the K-IV Augmentation work began on November 10 and was scheduled for completion by December 30.
However, the World Bank objected to the project over concerns related to environmental pollution and the absence of adequate safety measures.
Under the original plan, authorities were to lay pipelines over a 2.7-kilometre stretch from Federal Urdu University to Hassan Square.
So far, only 10 percent of the work has been completed. Following design changes, officials will now lay pipelines on a single track between Federal Urdu University and Hassan Square.
Sources added that the project involved the installation of 96-inch and 72-inch pipelines along University Road. Officials said they are addressing the World Bank’s concerns and expect work to resume soon.

“Addressing concerns” meaning they got caught skimming.
I remained designing team member for K IV project under that design work was started in 2012/13 but duer to political game PTI Government stopped and rejected the constructed work. However to understand and execution of work is not political game.

Who is the consultant responsible to overlook the project. If he failed to ensure design requirement and subsequently the donor (the world bank) raised concerns. The reporter should mention the consultant hired for the project as he should be taken to task for the delay on project further making life of the neighborhood miserable and commuters using the major artery (University road).
Is there any project comolete within time, there must be any comission,or kickback
