A severe cold wave continues to affect Pakistan, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting even colder conditions in the coming days, reported 24NewsHD on Saturday.
Temperatures have already dropped sharply in both mountainous regions and plains, and the Met Office warns that the chill is likely to intensify. The forecast has raised concerns among parents as school-going children may face harsh weather if winter vacations are not extended.
Parents have called on authorities to consider extending school holidays amid the worsening cold spell.
Meanwhile, Met Office Deputy Director Irfan Virk said that although the winter remains harsh, the country has not recorded any extreme or record-breaking temperatures so far.
That’s bcz winter season has been reduced thanks to pollution and trees being cut down by companies.
