Police Arrest Three for Starving and Torturing Animals

Police have arrested three suspects in Lahore’s Hanjarwal area on charges of illegally confining animals, starving them, and killing them.

According to police, the suspects, Ali Raza, Kashif, and Hasan Ali, had set up a clinic in Marghzar Colony.

During the raid, police recovered 10 cats, three female dogs, and their puppies from the premises. Five kittens were found dead.

The FIR states that the suspects admitted to recording videos of the animals and uploading them on social media.

Police said that Hasan Ali was posing as a doctor and was personally conducting examinations of the animals without any legal authority.

The FIR further revealed that several pregnant cats were rescued in critical condition. Police have taken all three suspects into custody.

Hanjarwal Police registered a case against the suspects on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Bilal Yahya and have launched a formal investigation.
