Punjab to Offer 210 Government Services Online From February 1

The Punjab government announced that it will make 210 services from 15 departments available on its e-Biz Portal starting February 1, allowing citizens to access services online without visiting government offices.

The government said the move forms part of the chief minister’s digital governance plan, which aims to expand the portal to 310 services by March. Officials said the expansion will provide wider access to public services through a single digital platform.

The Administrative Secretaries’ Committee took the decision during a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the Civil Secretariat on Friday. The meeting reviewed measures to speed up the implementation of e-governance across the province.

During the meeting, the chief secretary directed the Punjab Information Technology Board to meet the March deadline for onboarding 310 services on the e-Biz Portal.

He also instructed departments to shift field offices and attached institutions to the e-FOAS system after its successful rollout at the departmental level. He said the transition would improve workflow efficiency and support faster decision-making.

Zaman said digitising administrative processes would reduce the need for repeated visits to government offices and make services more accessible for citizens.
