NADRA has decided to establish another Mega Centre in Karachi to expand access to identity and registration services for residents of the city.
According to officials, the NADRA Regional Head Office Karachi and the Town Municipal Corporation Korangi will sign a memorandum of understanding on January 13 to formalize the project.
The new Mega Centre will be set up in Korangi and will feature 30 one window service counters. Authorities said the facility will have the capacity to handle between 2,500 and 3,000 applicants every day.
In addition, the center will include dedicated counters for succession certificates, PakID services, self service facilities, thalassemia testing, and arms licence processing.
Separate counters will also be established for senior citizens. A zonal office will operate within the same premises.
Officials said the Mega Centre will provide all services of the National Database and Registration Authority under one roof.
The facility is expected to serve nearly four million residents from Korangi, Landhi, Korangi Creek, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir Model Colony, Chakra Goth, Bin Qasim, Steel Town, Ibrahim Hyderi, Qayyumabad, and surrounding areas.
Authorities said the new center will significantly reduce travel time and waiting periods for citizens by offering comprehensive NADRA services closer to their communities.
