PSB Issues Public Statement on Padel Federation Claims

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued a formal statement clarifying that no Padel Federation is currently affiliated, recognized, or registered with the Board.

PSB said it issued the clarification after observing public confusion caused by the misuse of its name in padel-related activities being promoted across the country.

The Board has identified that certain individuals or groups falsely claiming to be the “Pakistan Padel Federation” are organizing an event titled National Padel Championship 2026 in Karachi.

According to PSB, these individuals are misleading athletes by falsely claiming that participation in the event could lead to selection for Pakistan’s team for the Asian Games 2026 in Japan.

PSB categorically states that it has not granted any permission, recognition, or endorsement to anybody or individual for selecting athletes or representing Pakistan in padel at any Asian, Olympic, international, or continental event.

The Board confirms that all such claims are false, unauthorized, and without legal standing.

PSB strongly advises athletes and parents not to trust or rely on such claims, making it clear that participation through unrecognized entities will not be owned, endorsed, protected, or regularized by the Board under any circumstances.

For verification, PSB has directed athletes and the public to visit its official website, where the updated list of affiliated, suspended, and banned federations and bodies is publicly available.
