The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) is developing a new mobile application for the general attestation of documents as part of its efforts to digitize services and improve public access.
According to official documents, the initiative aims to modernize the attestation process by minimizing human interaction and introducing real-time tracking of applications. The app is designed to reduce physical visits to ministry offices and make the process more efficient and user-friendly.
The ministry also plans to link the system with databases of other government institutions, including the Higher Education Commission, Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen, National Database and Registration Authority, and provincial departments.
In addition, MoFA intends to construct a new Consular Hall to accommodate the growing number of service users and to work toward a one-stop digital solution in partnership with service providers.
The digitization of the general attestation process will follow the model of the Apostille Attestation system, with future integration through Aasaan Khidmat Centers to enhance access to government services at the local level.
