Gold Climbs Toward Rs. 500,000 Mark, Silver Sets New Record

Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Monday, in line with gains in the international market, while silver climbed to a fresh all-time high in the local market.

In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs. 7,500 to settle at Rs. 489,362, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs. 428 to reach Rs. 419,549.

On Saturday, gold had closed at Rs. 481,862 per tola after declining by Rs. 6,431 during the session.

In the international market, gold prices also strengthened, with the rate rising by $75 to $4,670 per ounce (including a premium of $20).

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan surged to a record level. The price of silver per tola climbed by Rs. 300 to reach a new all-time high of Rs. 9,782.
