A recent report by Android Headlines has suggested that OnePlus could be nearing a shutdown, citing weak sales performance over the past few years, declining market share, and the closure of multiple offices worldwide.
The article referenced data collected across three continents from four independent analyst firms. Based on that information, Android Headlines argued that OnePlus may no longer be able to sustain its global operations.
Shortly after the report was published, the CEO of OnePlus India released an official statement rejecting the claims. The executive said OnePlus continues to operate normally and assured both employees and customers that there are no issues affecting the company’s business.
The statement also urged readers to verify information through official channels, a message that appeared to address shareholder concerns directly.
While OnePlus has faced challenges in recent years, the company has the support of its parent group, Oppo. Oppo previously provided OnePlus with a $14 billion financial infusion several years ago, a move that helped stabilize the brand at the time.
OnePlus has not disclosed additional financial details following the report, and Android Headlines has not issued a follow-up clarification.
