PCB Announces Match Officials for Pakistan vs Australia T20I Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia, scheduled to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium from January 29 to February 1.

All three matches will begin at 4:00 PM, with the coin toss set for 3:30 PM.

Ali Naqvi, a member of the ICC International Panel of Match Referees, will lead the playing control team throughout the series. The second T20I will mark a personal milestone for Naqvi, as it will be his 50th T20I as a match referee. He officiated his first match in the format at the same venue in April 2023.

Ahsan Raza, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as one of the on-field umpires in the first two T20Is. He will be joined by Asif Yaqoob in the opening match and Rashid Riaz in the second T20I.

Rashid Riaz, who will act as the fourth umpire in the first match, will move to on-field duties in the third T20I alongside Nasir Hussain. Zulfiqar Jan, a member of the PCB National Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as the fourth umpire in the final match.

Nasir Hussain will begin the series as the third umpire and will also act as the fourth umpire in the second T20I. Tariq Rasheed will perform third umpire duties in the third and final T20I.

The officiating panel features a mix of experienced international officials and members of Pakistan’s national elite umpiring setup for the highly anticipated series.
