The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 89th consecutive day on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, it posted losses against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.81 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
It bears mentioning that in the local market, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 21,100 to settle at Rs. 551,662, which is a new all-time high.
Other Currencies
The PKR was red against most of the other major currencies in the interbank market today.
It ended on a positive note against the UAE Dirham (AED) and also closed in green against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

It lost Rs. 3.53 against British Pound (GBP), and Rs. 3.68 against the Euro (EUR).
It lost Rs. 2.48 against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and Rs. 2.34 against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
