CDA Orders Daily Attendance for 300 Suspended Officials

The Capital Development Authority has issued fresh directions to around 300 officers and employees who were earlier removed from their posts and asked to report to the Human Resources Development (HRD) Directorate, making daily attendance at HRD mandatory.

According to an office order issued by the HRD Directorate on January 28, 2026, all concerned officials have been strictly directed to mark their attendance at HRD every day. The order states that any official found absent without a valid reason or without prior approval of leave will face disciplinary action under the relevant service rules.

The directive emphasizes that the instructions must be followed in letter and spirit, warning that any negligence or non-compliance will be viewed seriously. The order was issued with the approval of Director II (HRD) and circulated to the Director Security, Director Discipline, and concerned HR officers to ensure enforcement.

The move follows the CDA’s earlier decision to remove nearly 300 officers and employees from their positions and place them under HRD reporting. Sources said the officials were removed based on various internal reports, as part of efforts to tighten administrative control and oversight within the authority.

In recent weeks, the CDA has also directed all directorates, wings, and departments to submit complete details of criminal proceedings, court cases, FIRs, FIA investigations, and disciplinary actions involving employees. The information was sought by the Law Wing to consolidate records and ensure compliance with applicable service rules.

Officials said the latest instructions reflect a broader internal review and administrative restructuring exercise aimed at improving discipline and accountability within the authority.
