Information published under the Prime Minister’s National Health Program has raised concerns after users reported discrepancies involving the program’s listings in Islamabad.
The Health Card scheme offers free medical treatment at approved public and private hospitals across the country. Official details are available on the program’s website and through the empaneled hospitals portal managed by State Health.
On the empaneled hospitals page, Maroof International Hospital, located in F-10 Markaz, appears as a panel hospital under the Health Card program.
However, when users click on Maroof Hospital’s listing, the page shows no treatment packages or services available under the Health Card scheme. This directly contradicts the program’s claim that Maroof Hospital offers free treatment to cardholders.
In addition, visitors to Maroof Hospital report that there is no Health Card counter. Hospital staff reportedly do not process Health Card cases, further adding to doubts about the hospital’s inclusion in the program.
The mismatch between online listings and on-ground availability has triggered questions about the accuracy of the empaneled hospitals database. It has also caused confusion for patients who rely on official government portals when seeking free treatment.
