The Excise & Taxation Department Punjab has launched a new initiative to simplify vehicle verification for residents in Pakistan and overseas.
In partnership with NADRA, the department now allows online biometric verification of vehicles through PAK-ID. NICOP holders and local residents can complete the verification digitally, eliminating the need to visit excise offices or use intermediaries.
Previously, overseas Pakistanis had to submit attested affidavits verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Pakistani embassies, a time-consuming and multi-step process.
The new PAK-ID system removes these manual procedures, allowing vehicle owners to complete verification from home, improving convenience, transparency, and efficiency.
