Punjab Police Approves Increase in Stipends for Special Children of Employees

Punjab Police has approved a substantial increase in monthly stipends for special children of its employees as part of its welfare initiatives.

According to an official spokesperson, the stipend for children suffering from thalassemia has been doubled from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per month.

The monthly allowance for children with cerebral palsy has also been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. In addition, police employees’ children diagnosed with autism will now receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar said the police force functions as a family, and ensuring the welfare of employees and their families remains a top priority.

He revealed that the Punjab Police currently spends around Rs220 million daily on welfare-related programs.

The decision reflects the department’s continued commitment to supporting its workforce and addressing the special needs of employees’ families.
