An Additional District and Sessions Court in Taxila has sentenced a couple to a combined 34 years in prison for the brutal murder of their newborn baby girl, along with fines totaling Rs80,000.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Farhan Mudassir announced the verdict, convicting Zulfiqar Mahmood Satti and Areeba Imran for murdering the infant, who was born as a result of their illicit relationship.
