Punjab University has decided to celebrate the Basant Festival 2026 on its campus with a two-day series of events, according to sources.
The celebrations will include kite-flying competitions, musical performances, and food stalls. Kite-flying contests will be held at the main ground of Hailey College of Commerce, while the Old Campus will host the Basant Musical Festival along with food stalls and special kite-flying arrangements.
University officials stated that the events scheduled for February 7 will be open only to students, faculty members, officers, employees, and their families. The Vice Chancellor of Punjab University has issued special instructions to ensure the festival is colorful and memorable.
Sources added that the decision was taken in line with government guidelines to help ensure the successful organization of the Basant Festival.
