Karachi Zoo Entry Made Free for Special Children

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced that entry fees for special children have been abolished at the city zoo, with immediate instructions issued to zoo authorities to implement the decision.

In a statement, the mayor said that special children are a valuable part of society and deserve collective care and responsibility. He added that relevant zoo officials have been directed to ensure that no entry fee is charged from special children with immediate effect.

Murtaza Wahab said the Sindh government is taking concrete steps to support special children through initiatives focused on employment, skills development, and public awareness. He stressed that providing equal opportunities for special children is a shared social responsibility.

The mayor further stated that access to modern education, assistive devices, and an appropriate learning environment remains a priority for special children. He said inclusive policies are essential to ensure dignity, independence, and meaningful participation in society.
