The Sialkot Stallionz have strengthened their coaching setup ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) by appointing former Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir as the franchise’s bowling coach.
Sohail Tanvir brings vast international and T20 experience to the role, having represented Pakistan in all formats and claimed 118 international wickets during his career. The left-arm pacer is also a well-known figure on the global T20 circuit, having featured in several major leagues around the world.
Since retiring from top-level cricket, Tanvir has remained involved in the game as a coach and mentor, working closely with young fast bowlers in domestic competitions. His appointment is expected to add significant value to the Stallionz setup, particularly in developing pace talent and refining death-over bowling skills.
The move comes as part of Sialkot Stallionz’s aggressive preparations for their debut PSL season, with the franchise actively building a high-profile coaching and playing roster.
The team has already made headlines with major direct signings, including Steve Smith, while former Australian captain Tim Paine has been named head coach.
With PSL 11 approaching, the addition of Sohail Tanvir further underlines Sialkot Stallionz’s intent to assemble an experienced and competitive support staff as they gear up for their first appearance in the league.
