The Lahore High Court (LHC) has barred the University of Lahore from charging excessive fees from students, 24NewsHD reported.
The decision came after a petition by a citizen, Shehryar, who challenged private medical colleges for imposing unreasonably high tuition fees.
Justice Khalid Ishaq heard the case and issued directives to ensure compliance. The court also ordered the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to enforce the notification, which caps annual fees at Rs1.8 million per student.
The ruling is expected to protect students from unfair financial burdens and ensure fee transparency in private medical colleges.
