Govt Tightens Rules on Overseas Leave for Public Employees

The government of Pakistan has issued a new notification introducing revised rules for overseas leave for public employees, including doctors.

Under the new policy, all requests for foreign travel must now be approved directly by the Chief Minister. The decision applies to all government employees seeking what is officially referred to as ex-Pakistan leave.

According to the notification, employees intending to travel abroad must submit their leave applications at least one month in advance. Securing approval before departure has been made mandatory to allow sufficient time for finalizing travel schedules and completing other necessary arrangements.
