Punjab Govt Extends CM Laptop Scheme Deadline

The Punjab government has extended the deadline for students to apply under the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Program.

According to an official update, students can now submit their applications until February 28, 2026, through the program’s official online portal.

The laptop scheme, earlier expanded to include students of private universities, allows eligible candidates to apply based on academic performance. Under the eligibility criteria announced last month, students enrolled in private universities with at least 65 percent marks can also apply for a free laptop.

The provincial government said the initiative aims to improve access to digital tools for higher education students across Punjab. Officials have advised applicants to complete the registration process before the new deadline to avoid any inconvenience.
