Sindh Govt Fixes Rs. 2 Million Fee for Fancy Vehicle Registration Numbers

The Sindh government has set the fee for premium vehicle registration numbers at up to Rs. 2 million, introducing a structured pricing system for preferred number plates.

The Excise and Taxation Department issued a notification outlining the new rates, allowing vehicle owners to obtain desired registration numbers upon payment of prescribed fees.

The move formalizes the process of acquiring special or “fancy” numbers, which have traditionally seen high demand.

Under the revised structure, the most sought after numbers such as 786 and 110 will cost Rs. 2 million per plate.

Three digit numbers ranging from 111 to 999 will be available at Rs. 1 million per number. Meanwhile, number plates between 100 and 900, as well as single digit styled series from 001 to 009, have been priced at Rs. 0.5 million.
All other choice numbers will be available at a base fee of Rs. 0.3 million.

The new pricing framework is aimed at generating revenue while regulating demand for premium registration numbers, which continue to attract interest from vehicle owners across the province.
