The Pakistan Poultry Association announced a special subsidy on poultry products in line with directives from the Punjab government to provide relief during Ramadan.
Under the initiative, chicken meat will be available at a subsidy of Rs. 15 per kilogram, while eggs will be sold at a discount of Rs. 10 per dozen at designated dealers in Sahulat Bazaars. The supply of subsidized chicken and eggs has started at Ramadan Bazaars across the province.
The association stated that it will bear the full cost of the subsidy. Representatives of poultry traders will monitor the supply chain and market operations to ensure uninterrupted availability of discounted items.
PPA Vice Chairman Malik M Sharif, along with Ch Fargham Toor and Rai Mansab Ali, visited Sahulat Bazaars with Poultry Traders Association leader Tariq Javed. Special counters have started operating under their supervision to facilitate consumers seeking subsidized poultry products.
