Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Thursday, in line with the gains in the international market which saw bullion go back above $5,000 per ounce.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose to Rs. 523,962 after gaining Rs. 7,900 during the day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 449,212, up Rs. 6,773, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Wednesday, gold per tola had closed at Rs. 516,062 following after gaining Rs. 1,300 during the day.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $79 to reach $5,012 per ounce, with a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also edged higher, rising by Rs. 358 to settle at Rs. 8,404 per tola.
