Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday, in line with the gains in the international market which saw bullion rise further above $5,000 per ounce.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose to Rs. 526,462 after gaining Rs. 2,500 during the day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 451,356, up Rs. 2,144, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, gold per tola had closed at Rs. 523,962 following after gaining Rs. 7,900 during the day.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $25 to reach $5,037 per ounce, with a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also edged higher, rising by Rs. 170 to settle at Rs. 8,574 per tola.
