The Government of Punjab has introduced a new transport policy for senior bureaucrats, significantly revising vehicle engine capacity and monthly fuel limits.
Chief Secretary, IG Punjab, Allowed Three Vehicles
According to the notification, the Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, can retain three official vehicles with engine capacities of 2800cc, 1800cc, and 4700cc.
For two of these vehicles, they will be entitled to 800 liters of petrol per month. However, no fuel limit has been set for the 4700cc vehicle.
Under the previous policy, the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary were permitted 1300cc and 1600cc vehicles, along with 200 liters of petrol per month. There was no fuel cap for vehicles used during official tours.
Revised Entitlements for Senior Officers
Under the new policy:
- Grade 20–22 Secretaries may use two vehicles with engine capacities of 2800cc and 1800cc.
- Grade 21–22 officers will receive 200 liters of petrol for personal use, while fuel for official use will remain unlimited.
Previously, administrative secretaries were allowed a 1300cc vehicle and 200 liters of petrol per month.
Updated Allowances for Other Grades
- Grade 19–20 Special Secretaries and DIGs can now use 1600cc vehicles with 250 liters of petrol per month. Previously, they were entitled to 1000–1300cc vehicles and 175 liters of fuel.
- Grade 19 Additional Secretaries will receive 200 liters of petrol monthly with a 1600cc vehicle (previously 175 liters).
- Grade 18 Deputy Secretaries are now entitled to a 1500cc vehicle with 175 liters of petrol per month, compared to a 1000cc vehicle and 150 liters under the old policy.
- Staff Officers and Section Officers of the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary will use 1300cc vehicles with 150 liters of petrol monthly.
- Staff Officers of provincial ministers will receive 1300cc vehicles with 125 liters of petrol per month.
The revised transport policy expands engine capacity limits and increases fuel entitlements for several categories of officers compared to the previous framework.

Ha Ha Ha! There go all the loans we get from IMF, the World Bank, Asian Bank and all other multilateral and bilateral donors. Look at Punjab Government’s luxuries at the cost of tax payers. The vehicles of this strength and capacity are available to no civil servants the world over. But who listens and who cares?

On the other whole country is for sale and running on loans and paying off loan installment it is not understandable for lavish expenditure out of public money. This would be unjustifiable. Officials of other countries thinks and acts differently for the betterment of general public
All know that this is the very distance between the rich and developed countries and Pakistan yet we are getting more amd more generous towards rulers and bureaucracy even with more and more loans and we let the public die with hunger and disease for want of necessary facilities.
After doing such corrupt and shameful decisions how can these fools can think there twitter bots and bribed journalist can wash there image. Stupid brains work in strange ways.
