Humayun Hamza, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad, has announced strict action against passenger buses and vans that drop passengers at unauthorized locations instead of designated terminals.
He said that unloading passengers at random roadside points creates security risks, and vehicles arriving from other cities must ensure passengers are dropped only at officially designated bus stands.
No Vehicle Without M-Tag
The CTO also made it clear that no vehicle or motorcycle will be allowed to operate in Islamabad without an M-Tag.
Additionally:
- Unregistered motorcycles will not be permitted on the roads.
- Motorcycles without number plates will face strict legal action.
Humayun Hamza warned that firm action will be taken against violators.
Objective of the Measures
According to Islamabad Traffic Police, these steps aim to ensure public safety and improve traffic discipline in the federal capital.

What about the vehicle have person name on number plates instead of the vehicle number 🤔
Sab drama hai bas normal car’s ko tangh karty hai.
Who has given permission to buses/Van/hiace to use Fancy plates and Jet black tinted windows with zero visibility no one dares to stop them. Pehly unko challan Karo but nhi police will never take action against them as they are corrupt and take monthly ( Rishwat) from these commercial vehicles
Please also take strict action against motor bikers riding without lights and usually ride on wrong sides to avoid proper U-turns – a sever safety concern.
