The Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi has been officially confirmed for global markets. Earlier this month, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition received certification for sale outside China under the Leica Leitzphone name, and a subsequent leak reinforced the rebranding.
Now, Xiaomi’s official Spanish X account has shared a teaser confirming the device’s identity and launch plans.
Launch Event Details
The Leica Leitzphone will be unveiled at the global launch event for the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The event is scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain, on February 28 at 2 PM local time.
Inspirado en el siglo de luz y sombra de Leica y forjado tras cuatro años de colaboración, el Leica Leitzphone impulsado por Xiaomi lleva la fotografía móvil un paso más allá.

The teaser clearly identifies the device as the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi, confirming the international branding strategy.
What to Expect
The Chinese version of the handset has already been available, offering a preview of its hardware and features. The global model is expected to remain largely similar in specifications.
However, reports suggest a few minor design adjustments for international markets. The two-tone dark color option available in China may be replaced with a fully black rear panel. Additionally, both Leica logos are rumored to be rotated by 90 degrees compared to the Chinese variant.
Further details are expected at the official launch event in Barcelona.
