Flour prices have increased again, adding to the financial burden on consumers ahead of Ramadan.
According to the Flour Dealers Association, the price of a 20kg bag of mixed flour has risen from Rs2,400 to Rs2,500, while fine flour has increased from Rs2,600 to Rs2,700 per 20kg bag.
The association said the surge in demand has caused fluctuations in flour prices, impacting the market. Traders noted that rising consumption trends have contributed to the latest price hike.
Citizens have expressed concern over the increase, saying it has added to their financial difficulties amid already rising living costs.
It is worth mentioning that flour prices had also recorded an increase in cities including Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi even before the start of Ramadan.
