The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 111th consecutive day on Tuesday, defying global trends yet again.
Meanwhile, it also posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.45 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
Regional tensions have forced equities and commodity re-sizing in many countries ,but Pakistan is still managing a few positives. PKR has a long way to go, but we can’t rule out any near-term debacles. Keep an eye on the dollar if the US President makes more war-related annouuncements, a day-trader said in a comment to ProPakistani.
Other Currencies
PKR closed in red against the UAE Dirham (AED) but gained one paisa against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
Meanwhile, it gained Rs. 1.04 against the British Pound (GBP) and Rs. 2.10 against the Euro (EUR).

It lost 31 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) but gained 38 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
