Motorola has unveiled two new wireless earbuds at MWC 2026 under its Moto Things ecosystem. The new models, Moto Buds 2 Plus and Moto Buds 2, focus on audio quality, active noise cancellation, and smart features in a compact design with Pantone color finishes.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus are positioned for users who alternate between work, calls, and entertainment. They use Sound by Bose technology, tuned for balanced and detailed audio.
The earbuds are equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers for deeper bass and Knowles balanced armatures for improved clarity. They support Hi-Res Audio using the Low-Latency High-Definition Audio Codec (LHDC) and include Spatial Audio for a more immersive experience.
Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation helps reduce surrounding noise during travel or work. For calls, the earbuds use six microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation and a high signal-to-noise ratio to improve voice clarity. The Moto Buds app includes CrystalTalk AI, which applies AI noise reduction to enhance calls in noisy environments.
Battery life is rated at up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 40 hours with the charging case. The earbuds support Dual Connection, allowing connection to two devices simultaneously. Audio Share enables two pairs of Moto Buds 2 Plus to connect to one phone. Wear Detection automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed.
Users can customize touch controls for playback, calls, and voice assistant access. On compatible Motorola devices, holding the earbuds activates Moto AI features such as Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This. AI-powered translation is available on select devices. Color options include PANTONE Cool White and PANTONE Silhouette.
The Moto Buds 2 are designed for everyday listening. They feature 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm micro planar magnetic drivers and support Hi-Res Audio with LHDC. Spatial Audio is also included.
The earbuds offer Dynamic ANC rated up to 55dB and include a Transparency Mode to allow ambient sound when needed. They also use six microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation for clear calls.
Battery life reaches up to 11 hours on a single charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of playback.
The Moto Buds 2 support Dual Connection and use Bluetooth 6.0 for improved connectivity and faster speeds. A Gaming Mode in the Moto Buds app reduces audio latency. On supported Motorola devices, users can access Moto AI features such as Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This by holding the earbuds. They come in PANTONE Carbon, PANTONE Violet Ice, and PANTONE Gray Mist.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus are priced at €149/£130 and will launch in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific in the coming weeks. The Moto Buds 2 start at €79 and will be available in the same regions.
