Fourteen Pakistani cricketers have been confirmed for The Hundred 2026 auction, including Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, and Usman Tariq.
Rauf has also been named a marquee player for the inaugural auction, according to the list released on The Hundred’s official website. The auction is scheduled to take place at Piccadilly Lights on March 11 and 12.
According to the tournament’s press release, the longlist for The Hundred Auction features international stars such as Joe Root, Davina Perrin, Nadine de Klerk, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
“The longlist for The Hundred Auction have been revealed, with the likes of Joe Root, Davina Perrin, Nadine de Klerk and Shaheen Shah Afridi set to go under the hammer at Piccadilly Lights on 11 and 12 March,” the statement said.
The press release also explained that nearly 1,000 players registered for the auction. The eight men’s and women’s teams were required to nominate up to 100 players they would be interested in purchasing. Any player receiving at least one nomination was included on the longlists.

Earlier, the BBC reported that the four Indian-owned franchises in the eight-team competition, Manchester Super Giants, MI London, Southern Brave, and Sunrisers Leeds, were not considering Pakistani players for the upcoming auction.
However, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) later issued a statement reaffirming that The Hundred is an inclusive competition open to all players.
“All eight teams commit to selection being based solely on cricketing performance, availability, and the needs of each team,” the ECB said.
The 2026 edition of The Hundred is scheduled to be played from July 21 to August 16, 2026.
