Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Punjab and Northern Areas

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), rain is expected in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan between March 9 and 12.

In the Potohar Plateau region, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Mianwali, gusty winds and light rain are expected. There is also a possibility of hailstorms in Islamabad and the upper areas of the Potohar region.

From March 9 to 11, light rain accompanied by strong winds is likely in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Rain is expected in districts including Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Peshawar, and Swabi and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain is forecast in several areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir until March 11.

Rain is expected in Astore, Gilgit, Skardu, Diamer, Ghizer, Hunza, Nagar, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Hattian Bala, Bagh, Haveli, and Poonch.
