Fareed Ahmed Tarrar Appointed Chairman of Competition Commission of Pakistan

The federal government has appointed Fareed Ahmad Tarrar as the new chairman of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), according to official sources.

The appointment was approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who gave the final nod for Tarrar to lead the country’s top competition watchdog.

The CCP is responsible for promoting fair competition in Pakistan’s markets, preventing monopolistic practices, and protecting consumers from anti-competitive behavior.
