The OnePlus 16 is still months away from its official launch, but new leaks have revealed more details about the upcoming flagship smartphone. The latest information focuses on the device’s processor and camera setup.
Earlier reports suggested the phone would use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. However, tipster Digital Chat Station now claims the device may instead feature a more powerful SM8975 processor, expected to launch as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
New Processor and Memory
According to the leak, the 2nm flagship chipset will be paired with the latest LPDDR6 RAM. A recent report also suggests that Samsung’s future Galaxy S27 Ultra could use the same processor.
Camera and Hardware Details
The tipster said the current engineering sample of the OnePlus 16 includes a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
Other rumored specifications include a 9,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. The device is also expected to feature an upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The OnePlus 16 is rumored to use a BOE X5 OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate.
