Gold Rate Suddenly Drops in Pakistan As Markets React to Fresh Gulf Tensions

Gold prices in Pakistan suddenly declined on Thursday, in line with losses in the international market as commodities reacted negatively to fresh tensions in the Gulf.

The price of gold per tola decreased by Rs. 2,900 to reach Rs. 540,362, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 463,273, down by Rs. 2486. On Wednesday, the price per tola had reached Rs. 543,262 after an increase of Rs. 3,700 during the day.

The international rate of gold also decreased by $29, bringing it to $5,176 per ounce, with a premium of $20.

Silver rates also declined by Rs. 179 to Rs. 9,175 per tola.
