Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb told the Senate Standing Committee on Finance on Thursday that Pakistan is not directly affected by the ongoing regional war, though the government is closely monitoring developments.
He said the rapidly evolving geopolitical situation requires quick decisions, particularly regarding energy procurement and pricing.
Aurangzeb said the government is holding daily meetings of a ministerial committee established by the prime minister to monitor petroleum product supplies and prices.
The committee is reviewing global market developments and ensuring that Pakistan’s energy supply chain remains stable.
