Balochistan Govt Unveils Massive 10-Year Development Roadmap

The Balochistan government has formulated a comprehensive 10-year special provincial action plan aimed at ensuring the province’s construction, development, prosperity, and long-term stability.

Speaking to the media after a special cabinet meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Shahid Rind, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Political and Media Affairs said the plan was prepared through inclusion and consensus-building among all political parties.

The draft will be shared with all political stakeholders, approved by the cabinet, and then presented for debate in the provincial assembly.

The initiative has been described as a roadmap for development and prosperity in the province. According to Rind, the plan is expected to create 1.188 million employment opportunities through collaboration with the federal government and other institutions.

The project will require an estimated Rs. 4 trillion in funding, with financial contributions expected from the federal government and relevant organizations.

Rind said the current administration, led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has adopted an effective strategy to address Balochistan’s longstanding issues since taking office.

He noted that the government has started work on projects that previous administrations had overlooked, including the provincial action plan addressing both political and security matters.

He added that the plan will ensure effective implementation aimed at resolving security challenges while improving multiple sectors, ultimately helping to eradicate unemployment in the province.

Rind also emphasized that the blueprint represents a people-centric vision covering all aspects of public interest. As part of the initiative, new administrative divisions have been designed to improve public convenience and reduce difficulties faced by residents.

“This plan opens the door to sustainable peace and development in Balochistan,” Rind said.
